"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Even though the Bible and all of it's verses in it are amazing, I have to say this is by far one of my favorite verses of all time. It is also a very popular one too.  It gives people that feeling... you know the hope that God will give me the strength to get out of any situation. Nothing can beat that feeling. I have used this verse so many times in my life.

• The times I wanted to give up
• When I was scared
• When I am nervous about what I am going to do in the future

... and many more. YOU can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. "All"... that is really saying something. It says that there is nothing Christ can't do, but you HAVE to have him to help you.. otherwise that ALL becomes nothing. You see people that are rich and famous but they don't have God and you think "they are so lucky","it's not fair that should be me" and "I'm the one who has God on their side." Well let me point this out... those people could be doing so much more if they had God but they will only go as far as they can go by themselves because when you don't have God you can't go any farther then what you can do by yourself or with other human beings but with God you can do so much more. So next time you think that you can't or its just not possible. Turn to this verse. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" - Philippians 4:13

There is a song that goes perfectly with this verse. It probably my favorite worship song EVER. It is called "Our God" by Chris Tomlin.

My favorite verse in that song is "If our God is for us then who could ever stop us? and If our God is with us then what could stand against?"

Hey! I haven't blogged in such a long time! I guess its because I haven't had anything to talk about but I thought I would put up a blog post of things that have been going on lately... nothing really out of the ordinary but some things I am excited about and I have some topic I want to write about soon.. I just have to find the inspiration.

In the beginning of the month I was doing school, diving, working out and tanning.. but starting last week I had a break from diving so I relaxed and focused on school. Now I am back doing diving and I am on spring break for school which is really exciting.. I don't have anything interesting to do this week but  relax. This is our last break till summer! This Sunday is Easter! I love Easter.. It is an amazing reminder of what the cross represents and our whole reason of living.

Then next month is super exciting! First of all, the weather should start to warm up and summer will be SO close! Also, My mom and I are going to Florida to see my grandma! Some of my siblings are coming too. It's going to be awesome! I am soo ready for the beach, the amazing mall they have there, and just to see the beauty of Florida. I love it there.

Weekly Graditude/ life/ everything else

So lately I have been up to school, diving, working out and staying on track with my healthy eating. I never did a weekly graditude but I wanted to do one this week because I learned many lessons, found amazing things and found out more about myself through these struggles.

Here we go for the lessons learned- I learned that where I am right now is where I belong- for now. I have big dreams to go and move somewhere warm and do BIG things in this world but ever since my parents went away a couple weeks ago I realized I'm not ready to be on my own or make my own decissions because truth is if I didn't have my parents to help me along the way then I would be making some BIG mistakes.

Yesterday I woke up and looked at my ipod.. went on youtube for a couple of minutes and this video popped up: I have watched this video SO many times and it just reminds me that even though we all make mistakes Jesus still wants us. He loves us. Humans give up on people so easily even when we all have messed up but Jesus he was perfect and yet he is the one that will be there through everything. Nothing can change how much he loves you. Also I have found many neat photos lately. I love finding pretty pictures... it inspires me!

I have found myself being jealous lately. I will be on youtube or facebook and find myself saying things like "ugh I i wish I had her ___________" and really being jealous is not acceptable especially for me. I have so much to be thankful for and I need to appreciate it more. So that is why I decided to do this weekly graditude.. Thank you Raena for introducing me to this!

• I am SO greatful for my relationship with Christ. Many people out there suffering don't know that they are loved and I couldn't thank my parents enough for raising me as a follow of Christ because when you have God nothing can hold you back.
• I owe my parent and family a million "thank yous". Even though my parents are very protective I wouldn't change that for the world because I would rather be protected then my parents letting me do anything I want and me getting hurt.
• Thank you to my best friends- Raena and Nicole<3 I couldn't love you guys anymore. Raena you always keep my feet on the ground and you inspire me to be a better person and to always set goals. Nicole- You probably won't see this because you don't have a blog but You can make me laugh more then anyone else in this world. We were truly meant to be and I love you so much.
• Youtube. Youtube has been amazing lately! It is getting me inspired and teaching so many things that  I would have never have imagined.
• Water. I have never loved water so much as I do right now. It makes you feel so healthy its amazing. haha

Religious? Me?... no.

I have people saying to me a lot .. oh yeah your religious though right? or Are you religious? Before  I would just say yes so I didn't have to explain to them why I don't call it religious. Why would I not say I am religious when it comes to my relationship with Christ? First of all "religiously" or "religious" is to do something all of the time and to take it very seriously. At least thats what it means to me, So I do a lot of things "religiously"

• School
• Diving
• Writing
• Reading

We all do things that we take seriously and those things mean a lot to you but none of those things can compare to our relationship with God. When you have a good relationship with God it isn't a "religious" thing it is someting that is so much BIGGER then that. Nothing else seems to matter when you have a good relationship with God. No need to feel lonely because you always have God right the with you. You walk through life with not caring what other people think because you know that God loves you. Once you have that relationship things will start to fall into place with your life. Nothing else matters but to be close with Him. Having a non-stop relationship with God is not the same as being religious. When people say "Yeah I'm religious" I think .. "In what?" or "So you go to church". Going to church doesn't automatically make your relationship with God perfect. It is only one piece of a 1000 piece puzzle. So next time you want to tell someone you are saved by Christ and you completely believe in Him don't say you are religious tell them what it truly is a REALATIONSHIP.

my life updateee

I am so sorry that  I haven't posted much lately. My life just has been so crazy and I haven't really been inspired to write anything yet... So here is what has  been going on lately! Okay so two weeks ago I had diving regionals and they went really well! I had a blast! The week following regionals I had off from diving but I had a ton of school! Then last weekend my parents went to Vegas so part of the time I was babysitting my brothers and the other part we went to my aunts house! Now this week  I can finally kind of rest.. I don't have much school and I have nothing but diving this weekend. I am so ready to go shopping this weekend.  I can't wait! haha. Nicole is sleeping over too! Can't freakin waitttt <3 So my next couple posts are going to be recent songs, pictures, tv show and just things I have been loving! yayyyyyyyyy!

On my way to organization.

So right now I am completely organizing my life. I need to be focused so I am trying to keep my room clean and just try to stop wasting time on stupid things. Once I am done with this I am going to do a whole blog post on everything  I did to organize my room so that I have a daily schedule. My goal is to be consistent with it and remember it only takes 21 day for something to become a habit. I am going to get my grades up, get better at diving and eat healthier! Get ready because I new, organized and focused Annie is on the way =]

My parents

So today my parents left for Vegas. They are only staying for the weekend but I have realized that I would never be able to live without them. I miss them so much already and they have only been gone for a couple of hours. I feel like such a little kid... haha. Sure we don't always get along or agree but  I wouldn't make it though with out them. They are there for me no matter what and I love them. My life would be empty and sad without them. <3

My hero is my mom. Now that is a pretty cliche answer but words cannot express the respect I have for her. She inspires me so much. I have to admit even when we fight and I so want to be mad at her and I might come off as really upset and mad but really on the inside my heart says to me "She is right... you are wrong. How can you be mad at her? She is such a good mom. She listens to you and is always on your side. Who could be better?" No matter how much I want to be mad at her I just can't. At least not for very long. I hope that I never lose that voice in my heart.. I hope it is forever by my side because I know it is right. My mom has gone through so much in her life but through all of that she found God and she has the closest relationship with God that I have ever seen a person have. I have seen my siblings fight with her and they said and did things that they now regret. I don't want to do that. I want to make her proud. Mom, Thank you for trusting me and always being there.

I need a time Machine

So tonight we were watching old home videos and most of the videos left me in tears. We were so close. I miss that. I miss us all living in the same house even if it means I would have to share a room. I don't care I miss us. We were an amazing family.. sure we fought and got mad at eachother over stupid things but we loved eachother. I would do anything to go back. If you look back ... it all has changed. Nothing is the same. Keil is in the Marine Corp. and always traveling, Zac is at home still but he just got back from Iraq, Kara is in Texas ... I don't even really remember the last Christmas we were all together or even when we were all under the same roof. It all seems so far away now. We all had embarrassing moments on the camera (especially me) but those are the moments we will all cherish forever. I wish I could go back just to meet myself or meet my older brothers when they were my age. It all just seems different but really all the happen was we all grew up. Now Keil is coming home tomorrow and now most of us will be together but Kara is still missing. I wish we could all just relive those moments just to really take in what we had. You never realize what you have not till its gone but till it has past. Time should be the most cherished thing because you will never get it back. So from now on just remember we don't know what is going to happen in the future or where God is going to put us but when you have the chance just come home because there is nothing better then spending time with your family. You have heard the saying or theory that " Life only gets harder" You know why they say that? Life only gets harder because you have more to look back on in the past and you have more to miss of the past which is always known as " the simple times in life."  Do you guys remember this song?

Bible Studying tips!

This year my new years resolution was to try and do Bible Study every night! I must say I have been doing a pretty good job even though I haven't done it every night I get it done at least 3-4 times a week. I know that is what a lot of people struggle with and I know the feeling. There aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done that you would love to get done but since I have been making time to do Bible Study I have a couple of tips that I think would help.
1. Before you start reading the Bible you should always pray. Pray that the Lord opens your heart and that He helps you understand what is going on. The best kind of Bible study is when you know He is right there with you.

2. Always do bible study somewhere that is quiet. I know it is hard to find somewhere quiet because I have a big family and when everyone was home it is very hard but if you can find somewhere that is somewhat quiet it can help.

3. Get a "Study Bible". They have many different Bibles but for doing Bible Study these kinds of Bibles are probably best. They have nice side notes to help you really understand what is going on and in the back sometimes they have keywords and different little tools that you can use to help you to get closer to God. They have different Study Bibles for different ages and genders. Which is part of the reason why I love my Bible. I have a Bible that is specifically for teenage girls and it really pays attention to the problems that teenage girls have.

4. Grab a notebook! It is always nice to take notes when you see a verse that you love. That way you can always look back at your notes to see what you wrote or what was important to you. Nothing is better then memorizing Bible verses. I always try to memorize the ones that I love because when ever I am in trouble or I need some guidence I have a verse to back up that problem.

5. Having a highlighter or a pen with you is very helpful! I don't know about you but when I take notes I have to highlight it first so that I do not get confused on what exactly I am writing down. It is also another way to look back at was verses really caught your eye.

6. When you are done reading and taking notes you should also pray. Pray that He can help you be more like Jesus and do the right thing. Ask Him to help you with life, thank him for all of the things he has given you and you can also do any prayer requests.

7. Try to make it a daily thing. Write it down in your planner make sure that you do not make school and homework an idol. Even though school is important if you compare the two God comes first. God always comes first. Nothing before Him.

TV Shows

I have recently learned that the Tv shows that they make for teenagers are manipulating and they suck you in so easily and they are hard to get away from. These tv shows make things that are obviously not good or inapropriate into something that is okay or even good. Tv shows weren't always like this, they actually use to be good and okay for the whole family to watch together. You didn't have to change the channel because a bad part came on. It was easier back then and those shows made a difference in peoples lives. Now it seems like people can't have a show for teenagers that don't have sexual terms in them. Why can't there be a show that has teenagers that plege to be abstinant? Would it be too boring for people? Well I know I would watch!
